The Impact Gallery Walk
Our Founder.
Our Why.
Born from lived experience.
Built to ensure no woman faces cancer alone.
Black Girls Fighting Cancer was created from the lived experience of our founder, Staci PurPose Kirk, a six-time cancer survivor currently living with metastatic breast cancer.
Throughout her own cancer journey, Staci experienced both the strength and the challenges that come with navigating treatment, survivorship, and the emotional weight of the diagnosis. Like many women facing cancer, there were moments when she searched for a community that truly understood the journey — a space for connection, encouragement, and shared strength.
That vision became Black Girls Fighting Cancer.
What began as a deeply personal desire for support has grown into a mission-driven initiative focused on advocacy, awareness, and community for women navigating cancer. Through programs, partnerships, and events like the Impact Ball, Black Girls Fighting Cancer works to create spaces where women feel supported, informed, and empowered throughout their journey.
This work exists because no woman should have to fight cancer alone.
